MannaBrew Mocha Hot Chocolate

A guilt-free, warming blend of cocoa and mesquite that satisfies chocolate cravings without excess sugar or caffeine.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons MannaBrew grounds
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup milk or dairy-free milk (almond, oat, or coconut work well)
  • 1–2 teaspoons honey, maple syrup, or coconut sugar (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for extra depth of flavour)
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Dark chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

1. Brew the MannaBrew:

    • Brew the MannaBrew grounds with hot water using your preferred method (French press or pour-over). Let it steep for at least 5 minutes to extract a robust flavour.

2. Prepare the Cocoa Base:

    • In a small saucepan, whisk together the cocoa powder and milk over medium heat until smooth and steaming — do not let it boil.

3. Sweeten & Flavour:

    • Stir in your choice of sweetener and vanilla extract (if using). Add a pinch of cinnamon for a warming winter twist.

4. Combine:

    • Pour the brewed MannaBrew into a large mug. Top it with the hot cocoa milk mixture and stir gently to blend.

5. Garnish:

    • Sprinkle with dark chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa powder for an indulgent finish.

6. Serve:

    • Sip slowly and enjoy this comforting drink while wrapped in your favourite blanket on a chilly evening.
